Growing up poor has given me a fondness and connection to all things humble which provoke emotions... anything rich in history and culture... things that show evidence of the past and traces of the human spirit. I really love shooting newborn images, but when it comes to babies, I feel that they are just a bit too small for my own hands. It had been a few days that we took Marisol’s Maternity shoot when Abby and I received a text from Marisol that Monday, around 3 o’ clock. After her husband updated his status via-Facebook, Abby and I began packing all of our equipment, as we had been waiting for the photo-shoot for about six months. Baby Jade was gorgeous when she stepped down of her parent’s vehicle. Right before we began shooting, Jade started getting fussy because of the valley weather. Coming from New Mexico, the weather was nothing like their seventy-degree weather. As I was testing out my light, this was the first picture I was able to capture. I fell in love with her ever more, her tears, headband, pink cheeks, hair, smile, and her New Mexico “swag” are just too gorgeous.
